It's almost that time of the year again, and here at Deaf Umbrella we are supporting Santa Paws – The 12 Jogs of Christmas Challenge lead by Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People train dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds they would otherwise miss – such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock and even a baby's cry. The dogs provide emotional support to their deaf companion, giving them confidence to reconnect with their family, friends and the wider community.
So, what's the challenge?
We encourage you to run, jog or walk 12 times – with or without your dog – and get sponsored to raise vital funds to help deaf people leave loneliness behind.
You can do it wherever you want, whenever you want during the month of December!
Signing up is free and you get a free tracker card and certificate. Also, you will receive a Santa Paws bandana for your dog once you get your first sponsorship donation.
Alternatively, you can do a donation at their donation page HERE, although we would love to see images of you enjoying a lovely walk or run (with or without your dogs) and dressed up in your Christmas finest for the challenge!
Will you complete the 12 Jogs Challenge?
This is a really great opportunity to support a good cause and at the same time enjoy the outdoors. The Santa Paws project is a great opportunity to help deaf people and make the festive season even warmer. In addition, if you want to give your effort even more Christmas cheer, then christmas banner images are the perfect way to do it. They can decorate your walking and jogging areas, creating a magical holiday atmosphere.
