Available A New Free Guide To Keep Improving And Learning

August 24, 2017

Deaf Umbrella – 17 years of working within the Deaf Community, encouraging the CSWs and Interpreters of tomorrow, collectively honing our craft and sharing our knowledge.

Our wish is to educate, to spread the word about Deaf Awareness, the needs of the d/Deaf in Education, the workplace and so much more.

Through our Social Media we share news stories and, on occasion, are not afraid to tackle controversial issues.  Sometimes we make the news headlines ourselves!

For the d/Deaf Community and those working alongside it, there is always something to discuss!

With this in mind, we have put together a series of free guides, which we hope you will find informative, useful and enjoyable to read.  There is always something new to learn, skills to be improved upon and new topics to be discussed.

Why not suggest a topic to us?

We are always looking to expand the information on our website – you can help us with this.

What additional information would be useful to you?

We encourage feedback from all our staff, clients and customer – join in and help us to make Deaf Umbrella a recognised hub for the sharing of information.

Why not take a look for yourself?

The free booklets currently listed on our website are:

  • Deaf Awareness in Education

  • BSL; From hobby to career

  • A Guide for Employers

  • Note Taking; What do they do? NEW
