International Women's Day (IWD) is just a few days away (Friday 8th March) and the theme for this year is #BalanceforBetter, a campaign that runs all year long - not just during IWD ;)
This is a day to celebrate women's achievements and a reminder that we all have to work together to get a more gender-balanced world and fight for women's rights across the world.
We are surrounded by notable women everywhere; hard-workers, dreamers, entrepreneurs and strong women. Just look around! You can see it in your partner, your daughter, your mum, your doctor... And here at Deaf Umbrella we are female led!
I'm very proud to be working closely with inspiring, clever, supportive, energetic and enthusiastic women.
I learn day by day from my peers the importance of fighting for equality and accessibility, not only for women, but for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people.
So, here we are! Striking the pose at the #BalanceforBetter campaign for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
They have chosen us as a good example that "women can do it" as winners of the award for the Best Business in the Royal Borough of Greenwich 2019, and also the Online Business award 2019.
