How our 25th anniversary brought us together

October was a special month for us at Deaf Umbrella: we celebrated 25 incredible years!

The month was filled with memories from our early days, reflections from staff and students, and a look to the future of Deaf education and support.

We shared 25 Deaf Awareness tips, collected voices from our community, and celebrated the achievements of the past quarter-century.

Most of all, our anniversary reminded us of the people who make Deaf Umbrella what it is. Our staff, students, clients, and partners. Each one of you is part of our story 💜

But the celebrations don’t stop here.

Over the next 12 months, we’ll continue our 25th anniversary theme with monthly highlights, featuring throwbacks, staff spotlights, special resources, and Deaf awareness campaigns. Think of it as our “anniversary year,” running right through to October 2026.
