Are you a British Sign Language (BSL) user looking for a fun and exciting way to spend your weekend? Look no further! We are thrilled to announce you to a two-hour workshop in improvised comedy specially designed for BSL users. (Watch BSL video below).
Are you wondering what is "Improv Comedy"?
Improv comedy is an artform that allows performers to create hilarious scenes on the spot, without the constraints of a script or previous rehearsal. It's all about thinking on your feet and embracing the unexpected.
In this workshop, you will dive into a world of spontaneous creativity and laughter. The exercises will primarily involve games in pairs and as a group, so you'll never be on your own like in stand-up comedy. It's a supportive environment where they help each other shine and bring out the funny!
This project is led by our talented member of staff Jennifer Jordan.
With over 5 years of experience teaching Improv, Jennifer's expertise shines through in her dynamic and engaging approach.
Now, she will be delivering this workshop in BSL for the very first time, bringing her passion for comedy to the BSL community in an accessible and inclusive format.
When and where are the workshops?
You can choose either 22nd July or 5th August (both are Saturdays), from 14:00 to 16:00 BST.
The workshops will take place at Theatre Deli, located at 107 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 4AF, about 5 minute walk from Aldgate tube station.
It's the perfect central location for you to join in the fun and meet fellow BSL users who share your passion for comedy.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, ensuring that everyone can participate without any barriers. Additionally, it has gender-neutral toilets, promoting a safe and welcoming space for all attendees.
Who Can Join?
All BSL users aged 18 and above are welcome to join the workshops! You don't need any previous performing or comedy experience – just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to try something new and exciting. It's a fantastic opportunity to have a great time, make new friends, and unleash your comedic talents.
