A new inclusive version of The Gruffalo to enjoy this Christmas

A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood...

Does this sound familiar? If you are, like me, a huge fan of Julia Donaldson and her wonderful storybooks, you must not miss the new inclusive version of The Gruffalo this Christmas.

This musical adaptation of the classic picture book is performed by a company of deaf and hearing actors blending spoken English, BSL and visual storytelling, ensuring the much-loved tale can be enjoyed by everyone.

And we are so proud to say that two of our staff are in the cast! Adam Jay-Price as the Gruffalo, and Laura Goulden, who left us a while ago to pursue her love of theatre, as understudy.

This 55-minutes-show is suitable for children aged 3 and up and their grown-ups, and you can watch it at:

  • The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury from the 7th to 18th December. Book Now.

  • Birmingham Town Hall in Birmingham, from the 27th December to the 15th January. Book Now.
